Photo of a Currawong (Strepera graculina) by Kathryn Topp.

Origins: Photo taken by Kathryn Topp and passed on to me by RavenBlack.

Copyright: Posted with permission of the photographer, Kathryn Topp. She stated that anyone is welcome to use the picture, as long as she gets credit for it. Thanks!

Notes: Currawongs aren't even members of the Corvidae family, actually. They're part of the Cracticidae family, which I believe makes them related to shrikes. However, they have very corvid-like behaviour at times, as Kathryn noted:

That particular one was busy contemplating an action which it successfully carried out a couple of minutes later - that of grabbing the middle out of my slice of bread midflight. Very nice aerobatics, so much so I almost forgave it its theft :)

Many thanks to Kathryn for the photo and the text!
