The first war we had involved 7 people, but only 4 of them had enough Lego® to field a large force. The other 3 threw in with 1 major player or another, and the war was on!

I was the only one who did significant building before the battle, so everyone was eager to take on Mercenary Mountain, and see all the traps I'd built in. This resulted in the Holy Empress (may She live forever) hiring on the two companies of engineers, and storming the mountain (claiming an ancestral right to it) with her army, which, I might add, was by far the largest on the field. I had some aid from the Baron's castle (cannon fire, and a dragon flew out), but it wasn't enough, and Mercenary Mountain was overrun. Meanwhile, the giants were skirmishing with the Holy Empress' cavalry, but didn't do much more than keep them busy. The Bishop mostly stayed on the sidelines, and kept his nose well inside his keep, although he did send troops out after the Magic Sword.... little did he realize that tampering with its resting place would release the balrog.
