This is a test link. Here's another one. This is a test roll-over. |

Alright, this is my first attempt at a weblog entry. Having looked at a few blog-generating programs, I decided to do it by hand instead. HTML makes a lot more sense to me when I do it by hand. and it satisfies my obsessive-compulsive desires to have complete control over as much as I can. Which means that if there's loose links around here or bits that don't quite look right, it's all my fault. But I won't apologise for those either. If you don't like it, you certainly don't have to stay. Hmmm. Now, what will I put in my weblog? Besides this stuff, I mean. I don't feel like boring the world (or myself) with mundane details of my life. So I think I'll use it to blather on about random thoughts (I have those sometimes, ya know) or comment on books I'm currently reading, and maybe record my major accomplishments of the day. That way I'll remind myself that not every day is a waste, even when it may feel like it from time to time. Okay, that's lots for now. More after I see how this looks once it's online. |

Grumble, mumble, bitch. Not getting the roll-overs to work properly. Will try again. |

Kay, I haven't worked on this in a while. Mostly 'cuz I acquired a new web-page editor between then and now, and didn't have the time to relearn the program. Now that I AM mucking around with it again, I can't seem to get this new program to talk to my web server properly. Is it the program's fault, or my server's? Grrr. I hate this. |

Woohoo! The roll-overs are working at last! I've also managed to get the page editor to speak to the server. Apparently it was timing out, earlier, without giving any warning, or reconnect option. At least, that seems to have been the problem. Kay, enough for now. Gonna celebrate by indulging my carnivorous instincts. |

Didn't do much today. Too hot. I want to live on a planet where all the cities are covered by huge climate-controlled domes. Accomplishment of the Day: Not melting like an ice-cream cone. |

Read some MegaTokyo today (a manga-style online comic which Bregon got me into). I've decided I need to have a baby-sized T-shirt for my kid, based on that comic. Alas, not having the funds (and I don't think they've got baby-sizes anyway) I had to make do with Photoshop. Accomplishment of the Day: Experimenting with East Indian Cuisine. |
